Adult (18+) Driver's Education

Our online Texas Adult Driver's Education course is a 6-hour course that is approved for all cities in Texas by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).  If you are 18 or older, you may take this course online to get your driver's license.  Once you complete all 6 hours of instruction and take the included written exam, you may then go and take your DPS driving exam.

Eligiblity to Get your License

In order to get your license, you are required to complete the following:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must complete 6 hour approved adult driver's ed course.
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity.
  • Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or residency.
  • Pass a written exam.
  • Pass a behind-the-wheel test.
  • Pass a vision exam.
  • Show proof of valid and adequate auto insurance.
  • Submit a completed drivers license application.

*These are the requirements to get your license at the DPS offices.  You DO NOT have to provide this information to us before starting the online course.

Adult Driver's Ed Program Overview

This course covers the state-required 6 hours of classroom education.

  • Once you complete the 6 hours of your online course, you are eligible to take our online DPS exam. You have an unlimited number of times to take the exam.
  • The material will be presented in the form of cartoon animations, videos, graphics, and written slides.
  • Our course will cover all materials needed to pass your written and in-car exams.
  • In the Houston area? Purchase in-car instruction for only $50.00 per hour.
  • After completing the course, you will be ready to head to the DPS to take your in-car driving license test.
